There have been two seasons of Reacher. Notice I said seasons not series, see, I do pay attention. Amazon can’t seem to get enough and neither can the fans. Reacher season 2 was one of the most-watched shows in 2023.
Amazon Prime Video has announced that season 3 will air next year, with season 4 already renewed. This is also after news that they have also announced a spin-off series, which is an untitled Neagley Project starring Maria Sten. We’ll come back to that.
Seasons 1 and 2 of Reacher have been a great watch. People moaned about the second season, but I really liked it. It looks like season 3 is based on Lee Child’s book, Persuader. Child’s has written over 20 books in the Reacher series.
In Persuader, Reacher has to go undercover to recuse an informant from a foe from his past. The official blurb from Amazon is:

Reacher is played by a short little guy, who’s pretty good-looking and never seems to age but he does all his own stunts. No, wait, that’s the movie. In the TV series, he’s played by man-god, Alan Ritchson. I know people have issues with Ritchson, but that’s why I keep the artist and the art very separate.
Spin-Off Series
Not much is known about the spin-off series at the moment, but it looks like it will revolve around Maria Sten’s character, . She’s been in both series of Reacher and has worked with him for a while.
I can’t help but think this might be a miss. Reacher is about Reacher, a Sherlock Holmes with muscles. Not being funny, but I don’t care that much about Neagley. I want to see the big man beating people up. I hope they don’t start having her beating people up, we don’t need another girl boss.
Although, The Penguin is working without Batman at the moment. Maybe a spin-off series without Reacher might work?
