The Alien television show – Alien: Earth – has been in development for what seems like forever. From Noah Hawley (Fargo, Legion), it was finally revealed to the world via a very brief teaser back in the early summer.
Now the same teaser has been reworked to provide just the tiniest snippet of additional information. That information is that this show will take place in the year 2120. This means it takes place just two years prior to Alien (2122) and just over 30 years after the events of Prometheus which took place between 2089 and 2093.
The outline has already been shared. A mysterious space vessel crash-lands on Earth, a young woman and a ragtag group of tactical soldiers make a fateful discovery that puts them face-to-face with the planet’s greatest threat. As members of the crash recovery crew search for survivors in the wreckage, they encounter predatory life forms more terrifying than they could have ever imagined.
With this new threat unfolding around them, the search crew must fight for survival and what they choose to do with this discovery could change planet Earth as they know it.
It had previously been revealed that the show will also delve into the corporate world of this future Earth. Alex Lawther, Essie Davis, Timothy Olyphant, Kit Young, Adarsh Gourav, David Rysdahl, Babou Ceesay, Lily Newmark, Adrian Edmondson, Sandra Yi Sencindiver, and Moe Bar-El make up the cast.
Alien: Earth will premiere in Summer 2025 on Hulu in the US, and Disney+ everywhere else.
