We were all a little surprised by Ghostbusters: Afterlife since it wasn’t terrible. By today’s standards, that’s as best we can hope for. It seemed to go down well with the fans, so a sequel is in the works.
Apparently, it was Ghostbuster Day the other day. I had no idea such a thing existed, as did most of you I imagine. Most of the original cast from Afterlife are back, including McKenna Grace. She posted a video on her Tiktok account, and I will warn you now, this has a lot of cringe in it.

TikTok is what passes as “entertainment” for youngsters today. No wonder movies are as bad as they are.
In the video, you can see the original firehouse from the original Ghostbusters movies. Not much is known about the story at the moment, but it must mean they are heading back to New York at some point.
Jason Reitman directed Ghostbusters: Afterlife, but has stepped down for the sequel, which is going to be directed by Gil Kenan. Kenan directed Monster House, which was a fun animation. He also made the remake of Poltergeist, which I don’t remember a thing about. Kenan said:
“It’s an absolute honor to pick up the proton pack and step behind the camera for the next chapter of the Spengler family saga. I just wish I could go back to 1984 and tell the kid in the sixth row of the Mann Valley West that one day he was going to get to direct a Ghostbusters film.”
Ghostbusters: Afterlife Sequel is due out on 20th December.
