I recently made an Overlooked video about Biggles Adventures in Time (1986), a childhood movie I loved. After making the video, I reached out to one of the stars, Alex Hyde-White for an interview and he said yes. My Overlooked video was fun to make. I loved revisiting the movie. I loved it as a kid and it’s still a fun movie. You can see the video here.

While doing research on the video, I found that Alex Hyde-White had a website and a contact page. I asked him nicely for an interview and was very pleasantly surprised that he said he would be happy too. He is currently in New York on a book tour for his new book, In the Volume, which I can’t wait to get my hands on and read more about Biggles. He does plug the book in the interview, but that’s fine with us.

We discussed the movie and how he became good friends with Neil Dickson, who played James Bigglesworth. It was interesting to hear about how he got the part, how the movie launched his career, and about working with Peter Cushing.

Here is a link to where you can buy his book, and here is the interview.

A huge thank you to Alex for being such a nice guy and letting me meet Jim Ferguson, from a movie I still love today.
