The Netflix version of Daredevil was very good, and well-regarded. So it was an act of sheer hubris on the part of Disney and Marvel Studios when they threw it all in the trash and tried to start over. Luckily, it appears that everything from She-Hulk to practically all of the MCU Phase 4 has taught them they are not infallible.
As a result, they are going back to what they know works, and what they now realize they should have respected, rather than tried to reinvent. The entire MCU is undergoing something of a creative reset, and Daredevil Born Again is part of that.
The show not only sees the return of Charlie Cox as Daredevil and Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk/Kingpin, but will also see Jon Benthal returning as Frank Castle/The Punisher, Elden Henson as Foggy Nelson, Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, and Wilson Bethel as Ben Poindexter/Bullseye.
So of course there has been speculation about others. Now one person might have dropped a massive hint on social media.
On his Instagram story, Finn Jones (Danny Rand/Iron Fist) posted a photo of a travel bag being packed for a trip. On full display inside the bag is the final issue of the Power Man & Iron Fist comic in a collector’s case. That comic famously includes the death of the Iron Fist character.
Also there is a copy of the novel The Neverending Story. Clearly he is trying to tell us something. It is assumed he is en route to the production.
Meanwhile, a picture has started to circulate online of Jon Bernthal alongside his stunt double on the set in New York.
