It has been one of the worst kept secrets in Hollywood,, that Pedro Pascal was one of the cast of Fantastic Four, lined up to play Reed Richards.
Marvel is yet to confirm any casting, or even any shortlisted actors, but we know it is on the cards because the movie is expected to start shooting this year.
The actor’s union SAG-AFTRA may have just done a whoopsie and accidentally revealed the nes to the world.
Coming Soon reported an entry on the SAG–AFTRA Foundation website, that has subsequently been amended, that confirmed Pascal has signed on to the project.
Once amended, all reference to this was removed. Considering one of these unions key purposes is to ensure proper credits are given, then it seems unlikely this would be a simple mistake.
Looks like Pascal is in the from seat of the Fantasticar!
Matt Shakman (WandaVision) is directing. The script is being rewritten yet again by Josh Friedman based on a draft by Jeff Kaplan and Ian Springer.
He would be fitting this in before Star Wars: The Mandalorian And Grogu.
Fantastic Four is set for release May 2nd 2025.
