Yeah, you read that right Outposters, Disney has done it again. Danny Glover is Santa Claus (or Father Christmas as we call him here in the UK) for their newest Christmas movie The Naughty Nine which launches on 22nd November.

Disney revealed a trailer for The Naughty Nine as well as the reveal of Glover as Santa and it looks God-forsaken. I am so glad my kids are young adults and I won’t have to sit through Disney’s latest tickbox abomination.
Yeah I know, I’m probably in the minority with my objection to this latest example of race-swapping of another “historical” figure. After all, Disney will be relishing in praise for the stunning bravery of casting Glover. Oh hold up, they’ve turned off the comments for the trailer, well that’s just weird.

Anyway, The Naughty Nine is the story about a boy called Andy who finds out he’s on Santa’s naughty list, so he pulls together a group of other naughty kids to break into Santa’s grotto and get the presents they think they deserve. Whatever. This looks awful and it’s clear that Disney is simply race-swapping characters to just get the PR for their tripe because otherwise, no one would give a toss.
The trailer is below, I genuinely can’t be bothered to write any more about this because frankly, I just find it tiresome and pathetic. However, it does give me a fantastic opportunity to use this gif.
