What do you get if you cross one of the most beloved Christmas movies with one of the most iconic slasher franchises? The answer is It’s A Wonderful Knife.

That’s right Outposters, some big wig, or smooth brain depending on what side of the fence you sit on, has combined the two to give us a Christmas Slasher movie that thankfully doesn’t take itself seriously.

It's A Wonderful Knife

What’s It About?

It’s a Wonderful Knife is directed by Tyler MacIntyre (V/H/S/99) and written by Michael Kennedy (Freaky) and stars Jellowsjackets‘ Jane Widdop as Winnie Carruthers battling against a villain called The Angel. As you’ll see early on in the trailer, The Angel is played by Justin Long who is sporting a big set of pearly white chompers that makes him look a bit like Martin Short.

The official synopsis isn’t too hard to figure out, but here it is anyway:

A year after saving her town from a psychotic killer on Christmas Eve, Winnie Carruthers’ life is less than wonderful — but when she wishes she’d never been born, she finds herself in a nightmare parallel universe and discovers that without her, things could be much, much worse. Now the killer is back, and she must team up with the town misfit to identify the killer and get back to her own reality.

I’m not a fan of slasher movies and taking something like It’s A Wonderful Life and making this is heresy. However, the fact it’s tongue in cheek kinda makes this look like an enjoyable waste of a couple of hours while we await the official start of the incoming World War 3. Let me know what you think in the comments.
