Timothée Chalamet returned from Arrakis, wiped the sweat from his nutsack after wearing a stillsuit, and donned his Wonka costume in what looks like a pretty enjoyable, feel-good movie.

Dare I say it but Paddington director Paul King looks like he has made a very Roald Dahl-esque movie full of wonder and charm, with dollops of Dahl’s signature sarcasm and underlying menace.

Timmy is joined by Hugh Grant who plays a “whopper” of an Oompa-Loompa faithful to 1971’s classic, Charlie and The Chocolate Factory. King also wrote the screenplay with Simon Farnaby, and the cast also includes Rowan Atkinson, Keegan-Michael Key, Olivia Colman, Sally Hawkins, Jim Carter, Matt Lucas, Natasha Rothwell, Simon Farnaby, Tom Davis, and Mathew Baynton.

Wonka is released in theatres on 15th December.
