The upcoming Jurassic Park / World sequel / reboot thingy is building quite a cast. Scarlett Johansson is locked, and now Homeland actor Rupert Friend has secured a major role.
Universal Pictures was so excited by the pitch that they placed this project into full fast-track. It is based on an idea and script by original Jurassic Park screenwriter David Koepp.
The story is rumored to be set years after Jurassic World: Dominion and doe not feature any of the cast from the previous six movies.
Gareth Edwards (Rogue One) directs, and shooting starts in just a few weeks in London.
Universal is animing for a July 2nd 2025 release so this will be at speed.
Meanwhile, The Hollywood Reporter (via Dark Horizons) has carried an interview with Glen Powell where he says he passed on this film, and intriguingly also passed on a Bourne Identity reboot.
