Indie Trailer: THE DROWNED

Here’s another indie trailer, The Drowned, also known as The Waterhouse. We received a link, and now you can watch it.

The Drowned calls itself a ‘supernatural creature thriller,’ but the trailer shows no creature. Maybe they are holding it back? The creature might be figurative?

The movie stars Lily Catalifo, Corrinne Wicks, Michelangelo Fortuzzi, Alan Calton, Dominic Vulliamy, and Lara Lemon. Samuel Clomens is the writer and director. The story is:

Woven with references to Greek mythology, The Drowned follows three thieves who have just stolen a priceless painting and arrive at a secluded safe house by the sea, only to discover their fourth accomplice is missing. They must question whether one of them was responsible for her disappearance, or if the blame lies with a more sinister presence lurking in the deep water below.

Sounds like a good story, and the trailer has good production values. I have asked for a screener and will report back. The rest is from the press release.

Initially titled The Waterhouse, the film premiered in London at FrightFest Halloween. Subsequently, Sunrise Films will release it on major digital platforms in North America on October 7 and in Australia and New Zealand on October 8. Sister company Vertigo Releasing will release digitally on 6th October in the UK and Ireland.

The Drowned was produced by Agam Jain, George Clemens and Fernando Ruiz for Take The Shot Films, and James Kermack and Julien Loeffler for Featuristic Films. Raven Banner Entertainment is selling the film worldwide.

The Drowned will be on VoD and streaming on the 6th of Oct.
