Speed + Only The Brave = The Lost Bus… possibly? We can now get a better look at the new survival thriller from Paul Greengrass (The Bourne Ultimatum).
In The Lost Bus, Matthew McConaughey stars as Kevin McCay, a bus driver who must navigate a bus carrying nearly two dozen children and their teacher to safety through the 2018 Camp Fire, which became the deadliest fire in California history.
It is based on a true story, and adapts Lizzie Johnson’s book Paradise: One Town’s Struggle to Survive an American Wildfire.
It co-stars America Ferrera as school teacher Mary Ludwig along with Yul Vazquez as Ray Martinez, Ashlie Atkinson, Spencer Watson and Danny McCarthy.
Jamie Lee Curtis, Jason Blum, Brad Ingelsby and Gregory Goodman produce the film, which was shot in New Mexico.
The Lost Bus will be released in selected cinemas on September 19th, followed by a streaming release on Apple’s platform on October 3rd.
