So The Naked Gun is out and getting very strong reviews, but as you know, it only counts around here when an Outposter has seen it.
Long, long time Outposter who goes by the name of Walker Texas AIDS Machine (and other variations) sent in his review.
It’s short and it is sweet, but as he put in his covering email: “It’s gag comedy. Short of me repeating all the jokes back to you, what else do you need to know?!”
Although he also, and this is absolutely true, tagged the incoming e-mail as “Gay Porn” so we spent 20 minutes arguing other who was going to click on the link and see what he had sent us.
You never really know with him, genuinely. Anyway, here he is…

The Naked Gun
I just finished watching The Naked Gun (2025) of which I had no intention of seeing, but it had good reviews, and my last long-term girlfriend had the hots for the franchise, so why not?
Unfortunately, I arrived weirdly early to the cinema and watched the original on my phone.
Even though it was only four hours ago, I’d struggle to explain the plot. All I know is that I was making onlookers uncomfortable with my laughter.
And then we were herded in like sheep, and not in the erotic New Zealand or Wales sense.
Liam Neeson was perfectly fine, not Leslie Nielsen or close to it, but he mainly played it straight. There are lots of American references which might annoy my fellow immigrants, but not too many.
Pam And (as she as called now) really was fucking awesome in this. Seriously. I remember being twelve and only ever seeing her for about 5 minutes before I came but she was really special in this. (Sincere face)
I thought it fell into the 90s comedy trap at times with too much plot, but everyone else seemed to love it.
I’d give The Naked Gun 3/5 Whalburgs, a Vietnamese slap and a lost eye. Very well made, just spinning too many plates.
This is Walker, please indulge in more gay porn instead.
