It’s the 30th anniversary of “Burning Godzilla”, from Godzilla vs. Destoroyah. At least, so the internet tells me. I am no Godzilla expert, but I imagine that many of you among us will be able to clue me in on the significance of this. In the world of the US version of Godzilla, there is also some news.
In the first season of Monarch, a show set in the world of the MonsterVerse that also includes King Kong, Kurt Russell appeared alongside his son Wyatt as the older and younger versions, respectively, of Army officer Lee Shaw.

Older Lee’s fate was uncertain in the climax of the season finale, as he was stranded in Hollow Earth while the crew escaped to the surface.
It seemed like his time on the show might be at an end. Well, clearly not. It has been officially confirmed that Kurt Russell will return for the upcoming second season of Monarch: Legacy Of Monsters on Apple TV. The announcement was made on the Apple TV YouTube channel with a caption saying:
“The mission isn’t over. Everything changes tomorrow.”
