According to Variety, now running in Deadline and The Wrap, DC Studios has selected a new Clark Kent and Lois Lane. David Corenswet and Rachel Brosnahan will play the roles in James Gunn’s Superman: Legacy.
Superman: Legacy will not be an origin story, but will pick up with Clark just starting in Metropolis and at the Daily Planet.
Corenswet broke out in Ryan Murphy’s Netflix series Hollywood. Brosnahan has a resume that includes House of Cards and The Marvellous Mrs Maisel. She will be co-lead. Gunn is directing from his own screenplay, Peter Safran.
The project is set for release on July 11, 2025.
