Andor was one of those series that was odd, it was Disney, but it wasn’t terrible. I couldn’t get into it myself, but it was certainly better than the rest of Disney’s Star Wars. Season 2 has a second trailer online.
That weapon looked like the Death Star! Sorry, spoilers. In this second season, it looks like Andor is ready to join the Rebellion against the Empire. It sounds like whatever they have planned is going to be big.
The cast of season one of Andor are returning, Diego Luna, Faye Marsay, Adria Arjona, Genevieve O’Reilly, Kyle Soller and Stellen Skasgard. In this new season, the characters from Rogue One are included, Ben Mendelson as Director Krennic, Alan Tudyk as K2-SO and Forest Whitaker as Saw Gerrera.
The season of Andor, like the previous one, will unfold over 12 episodes, which are broken down into four chapters. I think this was something that I didn’t quite ‘get’ when watching the first season. However, I never felt the need to go back to it.
Luna, who plays Andor, has said this new season will explain how Cassian and K2-SO become friends:
“From an audience perspective, they’ve probably made their own story about how Cassian and K-2 got to work together. It tells you a lot about Cassian that his best friend is a droid. And a droid he had to reprogramme. But how did that actually happen and who was he before? Those questions are going to be answered.”
I guess that was the droid he was looking for. See what I did there? Anyone? Is this thing on?
Andor Season 2 will be streaming on Disney+ on the 22nd of April.
