The weirdest big franchise in cinema history is returning. With zero buzz, it will come out of nowhere and make a gajillion-bazillion dollars, and then completely disappear from the public consciousness without a single mention until the next instalment comes out and does the exact same thing all over again. Avatar is back… again.
20th Century Studios has officially released the full trailer for James Cameron’s third Avatar film, Avatar: Fire and Ash in time for it to be attached to TRON: Ares, and the special IMAX re-release of Avatar: The Way of the Water. Both will be in cinemas soon.
This time, the world of Pandora will once again be struck with conflict. Once human, now Na’vi leader Jake Sully (Sam Worthington), Na’vi warrior Neytiri (Zoe Saldaña), and the Sully family will again face challenges.
Two new Na’vi tribes are introduced: The peaceful Wind Traders who traverse the world in dirigible-esque skyships, and the warlike Fire People.
Oona Chaplin is Carang, co-starring alongside Sigourney Weaver as Kiri, Stephen Lang as Colonel Miles Quaritch, Giovanni Ribisi as Parker Selfridge, Kate Winslet as Ronal, Cliff Curtis as Tonowari, Joel David Moore as Dr. Norm Spellman, and Edie Falco as General Frances Ardmore.
Avatar: Fire and Ash is in cinemas on December 19th, and then it will vanish, like it never existed.
