Marvel might have been on something of a bumpy road for a few years, but the first few phases of the MCU, culminating in Infinity War and Endgame, remain a great cinematic achievement. So it might be nice to see them get their mojo back. Will Avengers: Doomsday be the start of that, or is this all a fool’s hope?
Whatever happens, Avengers: Doomsday has now wrapped, and coinciding with the wrap of production is a lot of Marvel-based rumor. Collated and reported by the ever-reliable Dark Horizons, here is the rundown.
Former Daily Mail showbiz columnist, now working at Deadline, Baz Bamigboye says that Stranger Things star Sadie Sink, who debuts in the MCU in Spider-Man: Brand New Day next July, will also appear in Avengers: Secret Wars.

That will shoot in the UK across 2026. This would also chime with what we hear about Tom Holland’s Spider-Man not appearing in Doomsday but being an integral part of Secret Wars. Does this mean the events of Brand New Day will tie him directly into Secret Wars?
Marvel has made no official announcements on Secret Wars casting, but Brand New Day wraps in December.
From the more weird and wild end of the internet comes a report from Cosmic Circus that suggests Sink is playing Madelyne Pryor/The Goblin Queen. Pryor was a clone of Jean Grey, the ex-love interest and first wife of Cyclops, and the mother of Cable.

Elsewhere, Den of Nerds says that multiple Dr Doom variants will appear in Avengers: Doomsday, and some big names will cameo in the roles.
As always, it is probably best not to think about any of this too much until you are actually seated in the movie theater and the film starts to roll.
