You may not have noticed, but Spider-Man: Brand New Day is out. The Last Movie Outpost has reviewed it, via Hawk, and Wrenage said the same: that the movie is pretty good.
Well, it is doing a little better than ‘pretty good’ at the box office. According to Deadline, Spidey made $167 million on its opening day! That’s day, not weekend. It made more than any other movie this year in the opening weekend. In fact, Spider-Man: Brand New Day powers to an amazing second-best global opening at the box office with $927M worldwide.

It seems people can’t get enough of Tom Holland. Spider-Man is doing well, and The Odyssey is still putting bums on seats. I know that The Odyssey isn’t exactly a ‘Tom Holland movie’, but everyone must be pleased with him.
The Odyssey has passed $330 million domestically, making $900 million at the time of writing this. Remember when COVID was on, and the box office was as dormant ha a married man’s loins? Well, I think we can say that the box office is back, baby.
Not just thanks to movies like Spider-Man or The Odyssey. We’ve seen Obsession make $470 million, on just a humble budget of $750,000. It certainly shows that people would like to go to the cinema, but only to see movies that are worth it.
Mando and Grogu only made $340 million. #giggle
