D23 is entering its second day and the news continues to come thick and fast. In the Pixar presentation, it was confirmed that Toy Story 5 will arrive in Summer 2026. This time around, the toys will find themselves facing off against an army of 50 Buzz Lightyear toys stuck in a malfunctioning mode who think they are villains. Andrew Stanton (Wall-E, Finding Nemo) returns to direct.
Other projects revealed by Pixar include Elio, Hoppers, and Incredibles 3. Frozen 4 is also in planning.
The soundtrack for Tron: Legacy remains high on the playlist of many people, with Daft Punk’s tunes accompanying many a late-night drive for people of a certain age. Tron: Ares will be going in a slightly different direction. This time around it was announced that the soundtrack will be from Nine Inch Nails.

The Star Wars panel confirmed that Andor Season 2 will see Ben Mendelsohn reprising his Rogue One role of Director Krennic, and Forest Whitaker is back as Saw Gerrera. Diego Luna appeared and said this season will follow Cassian over a four-year period as he becomes the Rebel agent and eventually the dark hero we saw in Rogue One.
John Favreau and Dave Filoni then showed off a short reel for The Mandalorian & Grogu, which confirmed the Razorcrest will be back, and Zeb Orrelios from Star Wars: Rebels will appear again.
The entire event was kicked off by Auli’i Cravalho from Moana 2 taking to the stage to sing the title – We’re Back. Dwayne Johnson joined her towards the end. As part of that showcase a second trailer was also shown. That has been released online:
Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis, stars of the 2003 comedy Freaky Friday, also appeared on stage to promote Freakier Friday, which is set for 2025.
The pair confirmed One Tree Hill star Chad Michael Murray and NCIS actor Mark Harmon are reprising their roles in the sequel. The audience was shown a trio of pictures from the new film including an image of Curtis sporting a silver bobbed hairdo while driving Lohan in an open-top car. In the new film, Lohan’s character Anna Coleman has a daughter of her own.
