D23: SKELETON CREW Teaser

Well, D23 is underway and this means the House Of Mouse will be unveiling a cacophony of delights. Or, as we have recently come to understand, an array of horrors steeped in “The Message” and soaked in identity politics and queer theory. They just can’t help themselves. Will Skeleton Crew, the latest offering from Star Wars, manage to rise above this?

Described as an Amblin-style adventure in the Star Wars galaxy, Skeleton Crew is set at around the same time as The Mandalorian, years after Return Of The Jedi but before Ahsoka.

Skeleton Crew

Four kids make a mysterious discovery on their seemingly safe home planet and get lost in a strange and dangerous galaxy. Finding their way home, meeting unlikely allies and enemies will be a greater adventure than they ever imagined.

Now the teaser has dropped at D23.

Ryan Kiera Armstrong as Fern, Robert Timothy Smith as Neel, Ravi Cabot-Conyers as Wim, and Kyriana Kratter as KB are the four kids. They are joined by Jude Law, Nick Frost, Kerry Condon, Tunde Adebimpe, and Jaleel White.

The show is created by Spider-Man: Homecoming (plus two more) director Jon Watts and writer Christopher Ford. Watts, Jake Schreier, Lee Isaac Chung, Bryce Dallas Howard, David Lowery, and Daniel Kwan with Daniel Scheinert will be directing.

Star Wars: Skeleton Crew arrives December 3rd on the Disney+ service.
