One of the signs that Marvel was attempting shake off the entirely self-induced idiocy and drag itself from its post-Endgame malaise was Daredevil.
Specifically, the decision to throw the entire She-Hulk adjacent version of Matt Murdock in the trash and return to something better fitting the character, that veered closer to the Netflix show that birthed it.
It largely worked. Daredevil: Born Again wasn’t perfect, but it was better than almost everything else Marvel had put out on Disney+. A big leap in the right direction.
Can they keep it up? We will now get a chance to see, as Daredevil: Born Again season 2 is coming, and a teaser has ben released.
The season starts where the last ended, with New York under Mayor Fisk’s martial law and Daredevil a hunted man.
Krysten Ritter reprises her role as Jessica Jones. Jon Bernthal’s The Punisher will not feature, as he is across town working with Spider-Man in Brand New Day.
Deborah Ann Woll returns as Karen Page. There is a shot of Elden Henson’s Foggy Nelson and a few of Wilson Bethel’s Bullseye.
Matthew Lillard joins the cast as another power player in New York.
Daredevil: Born Again returns on March 24th, and the third season is already ordered.
