Everyone has been talking about it online for weeks, but now a new TV spot for the upcoming Deadpool and Wolverine has confirmed it. Lady Deadpool will make an appearance. The new TV spot also shows a lot of new footage not previously in trailers.
The spot doesn’t reveal the face, just the body and the presence of long, blonde hair. Mrs Ryan Reynolds – Blake Lively – as the body double, perhaps? Will the food remain on the for the entire movie? Surely a wasted gag, if they do?
Negasonic Teenage Warhead and Yukio appear, along with glimpses of Matthew MacFadyen’s TVA agent Paradox, plenty of fourth wall breaking, and some Blind Al.
Deadpool and Wolverine opens next week. Expect a huge opening for an R-rated movie and yet more complaints from the foam-brained mothers who took their precious little offspring to see the latest Marvel superhero movie only to have them assaulted by F-bombs and pegging gags. Worth it!
Deadpool & Wolverine is expected to be a cameo-fest and to mock cinematic universes, Marvel, and multiverses liberally. Rumored cameos include Jennifer Garner reprising her role as Elektra, with Wesley Snipes, James Marsden, Famke Janssen, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Dafne Keen, Channing Tatum, Blake Lively, singer Taylor Swift, and even a Hulk now among those mentioned online.
Early screening reports point to huge amounts of laughter and comedy, with one online commentator claiming they were in pain at one point from laughing so much.
Deadpool & Wolverine opens in cinemas everywhere on July 26th.
