Depp Wanted For More PIRATES

As if to underline what an unspeakable nest of viperous scum Hollywood is, comes this news. Hollywood, the town that turned a blind eye to Harvey Weinstein and gave Roman Polanski a standing ovation, couldn’t drop Johnny Depp quickly enough when Amber Heard made some accusations. They were even going to prove just how very sorry and “on message” they were by replacing Depp with Margot Robbie.

Then Heard turned out to allegedly be a bed-shitting loon-bag, albeit a hot one, and Depp had his day in court, being exonerated.

Suddenly they wanted, needed Depp back. Without Depp’s Captain Jack Sparrow, there simply isn’t any Pirates Of The Caribbean franchise. So now they come crawling back, no doubt with the checkbook-shaped begging bowl out.

Depp-pirates

Jerry Bruckheimer has been behind pushing the project for months. Oscar nominee Krysty Wilson-Cairns (1917) was in talks to write the screenplay, and it looks like they may still want Robbie, but this time alongside Depp.

New Disney CEO Josh D’Amaro, in need of some hits, is said to be enthusiastic to get this up and running as soon as possible.

At D23 this weekend, Bruckheimer gave more details to Deadline, saying:

“We’re talking with Johnny, we’re working on a screenplay, and hopefully we can get this done.”

Other reports say that the movie may return to the approach of the first installment, with Robbie’s character as the protagonist, and Sparrow being the primary supporting character.

Despite declining reviews as the series progresses, these movies make a ton of money, with the last entry making nearly $800 million and the total franchise take being $4.5 billion. Personally, I hope Depp remembers how they treated him and screws the bastards down for a major payday.
