The two Extraction movies remain some of the most-watched content on Netflix to date, so it was no surprise when the streamer announced it was building out the universe. We live in an age of content, after all.
The TV series is now building its cast, and a raft of names have just been announced. Chris Hemsworth won’t be appearing, but the makers have confirmed that it is set in the same universe. Those who will be appearing are Doctor Who guest star Sacha Dhawan, and Pip Torrens (Preacher).
The report in Deadline also lists the rest of the new names joining the cast. Ross McCall (Silo), Sam Woolf (We Were the Lucky Ones), Muhannad Ben Amor (Andor), Theo Ogundipe (Mickey 17), Emma Appleton (Everything I Know About Love), Aaron Heffernan (Brassic), Jojo Macari (Those About to Die), and Michael Zananiri (Once Upon a Time in Gaza).

The previously announced cast was Omar Sy, Boyd Holbrook, Natalie Dormer, Waleed Zuaiter, May Calamawy, and Ed Speleers.
The first season follows a mercenary (Sy) who embarks on a dangerous mission to rescue hostages in Libya. Trapped between warring factions and ruthless killers, he must navigate life-or-death choices while confronting deep emotional wounds.
The first series of Extraction will be eight episodes long, and will be showrun by Glen Mazzara.
