The Fantastic Four: First Steps is in production in the UK right now, and some spy pics have started to appear online showing the scale of some of the sets that are being produced.
X account UnBoxPHD has shared what appears to be drone pics taken from overhead of the world-famous Pinewood Studios, near London. These show the 1960s-esque retro-futuristic design. This seems to confirm what was seen in the leaked trailers from D23, that it will be set in an alternative 1960s, at least to start with.
Commentators online suggest that this is the alternate Earth’s version of Times Square, complete with a huge CRT-style TV.
There also appears to be a launchpad of some kind being prepared, and anyone who knows anything about The Fantastic Four can guess what this might be for! No sign yet of a Baxter Building or the rocket itself.
The Fantastic Four: First Steps stars Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm. Ralph Ineson, Paul Walter Hauser, Natasha Lyonne, and Julia Garner round out the cast.
Matt Shakman (WandaVision) directs from a script by Eric Pearson, Josh Friedman, Jeff Kaplan, and Ian Springer.
The Fantastic Four: First Steps is released on July 25th, 2025, as part of Phase 6 of the MCU.
