The long-gestating, finally arriving Masters Of The Universe movie is deep into shooting in London at the moment, and more details are finding their way out. There was a big reveal at CinemaCon that drew enthusiastic responses and said the look closely matches the 1980s cartoon and toy line. Now more photos have leaked out from London set of the Amazon MGM Studios production, including the first look at what appears to be Castle Grayskull… or at least some of it.
The righteous dudes over at ForEternia.com published the images and have given their view on what they are showing. The images appear to show the Jawbridge section of Castle Grayskull.
Castle Grayskull is the center of the struggle on Eternia. It is the target of numerous attacks by Skeletor, Hordak, and the Snake Men, all of whom believe that the secrets inside will allow them to conquer Eternia and the entire universe, and become the titular Masters of the Universe.
One spy image appears to show a captured Prince Adam in clothes from his sojourn on Earth. He is being brought before a figure in a hood, and there are multiple soldiers in armor with skull helmets nearby. This doesn’t take Sherlock Holmes to figure out who we might be looking at here.
There is an actor on set wearing some CGI marker rig that may be for later CG work to be done around them. Speculation is that this is Beast Man.
One figure is holding Evil-Lyn’s staff.
Alongside Nicholas Galitzine’s He-Man and Jared Leto as Skeletor, Masters Of The Universe also stars Camila Mendes as Teela, Idris Elba as Duncan/Man-At-Arms, Alison Brie as Evil-Lyn, Morena Baccarin as the Sorceress, James Purefoy as King Randor, Charlotte Riley as Queen Marlena, Sam C. Wilson as Trap Jaw, Hafthor Bjornsson as Goat Man, Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson as Fisto, and Kojo Attah as Tri-Klops.
Travis Knight helms this version it is planned to arrive in theaters on July 5th 2026.
