So we have our first look at the new Harry Potter in character. The first pic from the set of HBO’s upcoming Harry Potter TV series has been released, showing the lead actor ready to go, with Dominic McLaughlin in full costume.

The photo has been released to mark the official start of full production. Some new names have been announced for the expansive cast, too.
Rory Wilmot will play Neville Longbottom, Amos Kitson will play Dudley Dursley, Louise Brealey will play Madam Rolanda Hooch, and Anton Lesser will play wandmaker Garrick Ollivander.

Te rest of the cast is already stacked, with John Lithgow as Albus Dumbledore, Janet McTeer as Minerva McGonagall, Paapa Essiedu as Severus Snape, Nick Frost as Rubeus Hagrid, Luke Thallon as Quirinus Quirrell, Paul Whitehouse as Argus Filch, Katherine Parkinson as Molly Weasley, Lox Pratt as Draco Malfoy, Johnny Flynn as Lucius Malfoy, Leo Earley as Seamus Finnigan, Alessia Leoni as Parvati Patil, Sienna Moosah as Lavender Brown, Bel Powley as Petunia Dursley, Daniel Rigby as Vernon Dursley, and Bertie Carvel as Cornelius Fudge.
Warner Bros. Discovery confirmed a 2027 air date for the new series and a commitment to adapt one book per season.
Emmy-winning producer Francesca Gardiner is the showrunner, with producers Mark Mylod, JK Rowling, Neil Blair, Ruth Kenley-Letts, and David Heyman.
