GTA VI Delayed Yet Again

Since the last Grand Theft Auto instalment was released, businesses have been built and collapsed. People went on a date, got married, and started a family. Some bunch of absolute jokers decided to start a new movie website just as the ass fell out of the industry. What we are trying to say is, it has been quite a while!

Well, if you were waiting for GTA VI, you are going to have to wait just a little bit longer. Yesterday, Take-Two Interactive announced that Grand Theft Auto VI has been delayed a further six months and will now release on November 19th 2026.

After being slated for a launch around now, in time for Christmas, it was pushed back to May 2026, and now again.

This will cause video game turmoil, as other titles scramble to avoid clashing releases with the title, as the franchise tends to steamroll the opposition.

On the quarterly earnings report, Take-Two CEO Strass Zelnick said:

“Rockstar Games will now release Grand Theft Auto VI on November 19, 2026, and we remain both excited and confident they will deliver an unrivalled blockbuster entertainment experience.

We are sorry for adding additional time to what we realise has been a long wait, but these extra months will allow us to finish the game with the level of polish you have come to expect and deserve.

We want to thank you again for your patience and support. While the wait is a little longer, we are incredibly excited for players to experience the sprawling state of Leonida and a return to modern-day Vice City.”

GTA VI will be set in an alternate version of Miami. You are just going to have to wait a little longer for all your virtual hooker murdering, pedestrian squishing itches to be scratched.
