Recently we mentioned Orken; a new universe, built and created by Marko Djurdjevic. From the trailer, website, and demo of the game on Steam, it looked very interesting.
Creating a new IP from scratch must be a tough job these days. We know that Hollywood takes little risks, only churning out their franchise movies. All of them seem to get stupider as time goes on.
Djurdjevic, though, has made a real effort to create Orken from the ground up. There’s a new lore, new characters, and a world that is in danger of change.
When we had the press release, Djurdjevic was happy enough to sit down and chat with us. He is an artist who has worked with Marvel on the covers of Thor, Daredevil, and Captain America and many more.
We spoke about his career and what Orken is. Apologise for the audio on Marko’s side; I did the best I could to fix it, but it’s not the best.
Interesting chat, and a really nice guy. You can see he’s passionate about Orken, and fair play to him. It also sounds like he’s put a lot of work into it.
