What was it we said just last week about the new Bond? That when he arrives, he will probably be somebody who has barely been talked about in the absolute circus that always surrounds a new 007 casting. All this talk of the latest Hollywood twink for a much younger James Bond, and then this news breaks.
The Hollywood Reporter quotes a “well-placed source close to the production” who says that they have just tested Scott Rose-Marsh for the part.
Rose-Marsh is 37 years old, only two years younger than Daniel Craig when he was cast. This seemingly turns on its head the often rumored casting of a twenty-something as a young, callow James Bond.

He started working life in a call centre, before quitting to attend the BRIT School for Performing Arts & Technology. He has appeared in films such as Krays: Code Of Silence, Wolves Of War, and This Is Love, while on TV he appeared in The Outlaws.
The source says he was tested in late June by reading sides from GoldenEye, and was given a single piece of advice by somebody presumed to be director Denis Villeneuve:
“Don’t impersonate a previous Bond.”
As is traditional for a Bond casting, both Amazon-MGM and the actors’ reps have completely refused to comment on these rumors.
Meanwhile, from the world of women and their things, such as tittle-tattle rag OK Magazine comes the claim that Amazon chief Jeff Bezos wants to launch his former journalist wife as an actress by finding her a role in this James Bond project. The report says:
“This isn’t just fantasy casting – Jeff wants her on screen, period.”
Jeff needs to snap out of it.
