LMO Exclusive: Interview With Nathan Shepka

It’s great to be able to talk movies with someone, especially when they knows the difference between Empire Strikes Back and The Last Jedi. Nate Shepka is one of those people, a passionate movie maker based in Scotland.

Shepka started making short films in 2016, and since then, has now a number of feature films under his belt. His back catalogue is a good list, and I need to work my way through them.

We did review Dead Before Then Wake recently, which is where I first heard of Shepka. Dead Before They Wake is a solid British movie and very well produced. The subject matter is a tough watch, but it is a very well-made movie.

This interview is in line with the release of his new movie, The Baby in the Basket. This time, he has turned his hand to horror. The movie is an old-school Gothic horror, and you can see our review here.

Nate Shepka was a genuinely nice guy and knows his movies. It’s so great to see an indie movie maker, who also writes, acts, edits and does his own stunts. He’s got a passion for making movies and it shows.

We were so pleased when he sat down with us, chatted, and talked about movies. Anyway, enough from me, here’s Nate.

Top guy, right? We’re going to stay in touch and we’ll big up anything else he’s going to make. As I said, The Baby in the Basket is out today and, if you like a slow-burn horror, you’ll enjoy it.
