Playing the role of Lobo has been something of a dream for Jason Momoa. He lobbied for the role before he was cast as Aquaman. Then, when it became clear the DCEU was dead and about to be reset, he went into bat again. He got the part he always wanted, and to celebrate this, DC Studios has released a small video from the set which also contains additional footage of him in character.
This is a more detailed look at the character than the brief glimpse we got in the earlier teaser.
The footage has also been worked into a new TV spot for the upcoming Supergirl movie.
Milly Alcock (House of the Dragon) stars as Kara Zor-El/Supergirl, in a movie loosely based on Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, a critically loved limited comic series comic by Tom King.
Supergirl travels across the galaxy to celebrate her 21st birthday with Krypto. Along the way, she meets a young woman named Ruthye and winds up on a murderous quest for revenge.

Supergirl co-stars Eve Ridley as Ruthye Marye Knoll, Matthias Schoenaerts as Krem of the Yellow Hills, David Krumholtz as Zor-El, Emily Beecham as Alura In-Ze, and Alice Hewkin as a Sklarian Raider. Ana Nogueira wrote the script, and Craig Gillespie directs.
Supergirl hits theaters on June 26th 2026.
