Good Monday morning, everyone. How was your weekend? Did you fix that self that you’ve been promising to fix for the past 6 months? No, neither would I; just out of spite.
The great thing about a Monday is the memes. They are all hand-picked, like sorted, and then AI rearranged into reverse alphabetical order. Why do we do that? We still don’t know; it’s tradition. Do you need a moan this Monday?
My moan is about The Devil’s Mouth, which is now on streaming. I like a good shark movie. They can make you terrified of the water, like Jaws. Or they can be stupidly good fun, like Deep Blue Sea.
The Devil’s Mouth is neither of these things. In the opening 5 minutes, I already wanted to have the shark kill everyone! All of the main characters are the typical annoying, pathetic, moronic, air-headed idiots you can imagine. Maybe I’m getting old, but a lot of modern movies just have characters that are instantly unlikeable. Supergirl was the same; there was nothing inviting about Milly Alcock’s portrayal at all.
While suffering through The Devil’s Mouth, I realised that the further we move away from Jaws, the crappy shark movies get. In fact, I made a graph.
