Monday! Is there anything more scary in a man’s life? Maybe hearing his wife shout his full name from downstairs is pretty scary.
Before we get on to Monday’s memes, let’s have a moan. What did you see this weekend? Something good? Something old?
I watched Anemone, the movie that got Daniel Day-Lewis out of retirement. Sadly, it was a movie that he should have stayed in retirement for. I’ve no idea what it was about, but at one point DDL gives a speech about his dad taking a dump on his chest (if he did, on his dad’s chest) as a kid.
Whichever way around it was wrong, very, very wrong; like two Mondays in a row. This was a scene from the end of the movie. Was the little willy really needed?
It’s one of those movies that’s very deep, emotionally charged, but for people far more intelligent than me. People who stroke their beards at modern art and totally understand the ending of 2001: A Space Odyssey.
So that’s my Monday moan, Anemone was a silly movie, with a weird ethereal horse with a willy.
