Dead of Winter
We had the trailer a little while ago for Dead of Winter, which I didn’t watch, but I should have; rookie mistake. Basically, Emma Thompson tries to help a girl who’s been kidnapped, somewhere in a frozen landscape. Thompson, however, does not have a ‘particular set of skills’; she’s a polite, pathetic old lady, like a Monday in female form.
She finds a girl who’s been taken and tries to rescue her. The stupid thing is, I kind of agreed with the kidnappers; they have a damn good reason to take the girl. The rest of the movie is not Taken, it’s slow, boring and has a hilarious ending. I mean, it gets so stupid, it’s beyond all reason.
That’s my Monday moan, what do you need to moan about?
