It’s Monday again, and it seems we have to cope with Monday every week. Will it never end?
The only good thing is the memes provided to you from the Last Movie Outpost. I don’t like to use the word ‘heroes’, but the LMO are superheroes to rival the likes of Superman and Squirrel Girl. Before Monday’s Memes, did you need to moan? What did you watch this weekend that disappointed you?
I had to watch H is for Hawk, with Claire Foy. It was the wife’s choice, obviously.
It was based on a novel, and basically about a woman who got a hawk to get over her father’s death. It was a weird story, as the hawk had no relation to her father’s death whatsoever. At the end, she had to give a eulogy about her dad, that had nothing to do with the journey she had taken with the hawk.
This was a typical ‘cat lady’ movie, with a weak story, but it was all about feelings and how hawks can stop grief. Sadly, the acting and direction were very good, but the story just didn’t work; maybe it does in the book.
I know Monday’s are boring, but not boring enough to read a book.
