Just to annoy you, I love Monday. I start my week working from home, which usually starts with a full English fry-up from my favourite cafe down the road. I do some script writing, photo editing and have a nice start to the week. Don’t hate the player, hate the game.
I also make Monday’s movie memes for you, but that’s done out of love. As always, they are below for your pleasure.
Before that, though, what do you need to moan about this Monday? For me, it was the new Netflix movie, The Last House. Mainly, I wanted to see this because of Greta Lee; I’ve seen worse for less. I knew nothing about the movie apart from the poster, but it seemed intriguing.
The Last House
I will have a few spoilers here, as the movie is not good and I’m not ruining anything. Basically, a family gets locked in their house by the rain. As time goes on, they cannot leave and have to survive, in the end, over some years. It was an interesting concept, sadly written by a 4-year-old.
There were so many issues with the story, I couldn’t even keep up with the plot holes. The biggest one for me was that the ‘rain’ stopped people from leaving their houses. What if someone left a window open? One of my windows is tricky and can only be shut from the inside.
The end of The Last House is just ‘they show a creature mercy, and it’s all over’. That’s it! It’s like Independence Day, but Will Smith didn’t punch that alien, and they all just left because he was kind. #yawn
The Last House was a bad movie, and Lee was terrible in it. She had a really whiny voice and ended up being one of those bloody stupid horror movie women, making the worst decisions you can imagine!
