You can’t hide from anything these days. Even before a movie has come out, you know everything about it. Take, for example, Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey.
Yes, we have reported about it, but today is a slow news day, so here are some more images. Be warned, some of the images contain Zendaya.
First, we have John Leguizamo as Eumaeus.
In Homer’s Odyssey, Eumaeus is the first person that Odysseus meets upon his return to Ithaca after fighting in the Trojan War. I’m taking it that, with his eyes, Eumaeus couldn’t see Odysseus.
There is also Robert Pattinson as Antinous.
Antinous is a suitor vying for Odysseus’ wife, Penelope, who’s being played by Anne Hathaway.
Then we have images of Matt Damon and Zendaya from the set.
As we know, Damon is playing Odysseus, Zendaya is playing Athena. Athena, the goddess of wisdom, warfare, and handicraft, and a member of the Twelve Olympians. I did start reading through the rest of the mythology, but I think I’ll just watch Clash of the Titans instead… that’s all the same thing, right?
The Odyssey will be using new, never-before-seen IMAX technology. I don’t have an IMAX cinema near me, and I can’t be arsed to drive anywhere where there is one. I’ll watch The Odyssey on my phone and hold it really close to my eyes, just like my mum told me not to.
