The franchise absolutely, positively will not stop. No matter how much rolling of eyes there is, the Jurassic Park movies come out, do massive business, sit near the top of the highest grossing movies of their year, and so another instalment is always planned.
Last years Jurassic World Rebirth did the business again. Despite a last minute change of director in its fast-tracked path to the screen, it had a gross heading towards the $1 billion mark, it topped the charts when released, and was also nominated for an Oscar for VFX.
All three leads from the movie survived, so a sequel seemed inevitable.
While nothing has been officially greenlit or confirmed by Universal Pictures, it looks like there is some definitely movement.
The pre-existing were that all three leads will return alongside director Gareth Edwards, and that June 2028 is a potential release date.
The big news now, as reported by Swrve, is that multiple internet domain names had been acquired around the name Jurassic World: Liberation.
Those domain names are all redirected towards the official site for the franchise at jurassicworld.com.
So there you have it. There could be a title in place for the next Jurassic World story.
Scarlett Johansson won’t be available until later this year, as The Batman: Part II will start shooting within weeks.
