Just a couple of days ago we reported on the title confirmation for the new Jurassic World movie. We also shared the first images from the in-production Jurassic World: Rebirth. Now the plot outline has been released.
SFF Gazette has posted what they claim is a more detailed plot synopsis than the one-line stinger released by Universal with the images:
“The film will be set five years following the events of Jurassic World Dominion, when the planet’s ecology has proven largely inhospitable to dinosaurs.
Those remaining exist in isolated equatorial environments with climates resembling the one in which they once thrived. The three most colossal creatures within that tropical biosphere hold the key to a drug that will bring miraculous life-saving benefits to humankind.
Covert operations expert Zora Bennett (Scarlett Johansson) attempts to secure the genetic material from the dinosaurs but ends up stranded with a civilian family on an island that holds a secret being kept from humanity for decades.”
Deep Blue Sea meets Jurassic Park 3, then? Meanwhile internet “scooper” MyTimeToShineHello has listed the three dinosaurs, one of whom we are very familiar with from the Jurassic World movies: Mosasaurus, Titanisaurus, and Quetzacoatlus.
Personally, a break from ‘raptors and the T-Rex would be most welcome as they have completely lost their power to surprise and terrify.
Gareth Edwards (Rogue One, Godzilla) directs Jurassic World: Rebirth which also stars Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Rupert Friend, Luna Blaise, and David Iacono.
The movie opens in the highly crowded month of July next year.
