People heard that the new trailer for Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey would attach to Avatar: Fire and Ash. But Universal suddenly dropped it online today. Here you go:

You know all the details about The Odyssey, it stars Matt Damon, Anne Hathaway, Tom Holland, Jon Bernthal, Robert Pattinson, Charlize Theron, Zendaya, Mia Goth, Elliot Page, Lupita Nyong’o, Samantha Morton, John Leguizamo, Will Yun Lee, Benny Safdie, Bill Irwin, Corey Hawkins, Nick E. Tarabay and Hamesh Patel.
Nolan’s Odyssey is due out in July 2026 and is already causing nerds to cream in their pants. After Oppenheimer in 2024, Nolan is going back in time to the days of the ancient Greeks.
People are making a big deal of the movie coming out in IMAX and 70mm prints. A preview of the movie was attached to the beginning of the re-release of Sinners and One Battle After Another in IMAX.
People who saw the preview are already calling The Odyssey ‘breath-taking, jaw-dropping’ and possibly one of the biggest movies ever made. Big doesn’t mean good, though, for example, watch any Avatar movie. #zinger
You know the rest of the details about The Odyssey, as you can’t avoid them. The movie will be released on the 17th of July 2026. Personally, I’ll watch till I can watch it on streaming on my phone…like it was meant to be watched.
