Robbie Williams Biopic BETTER MAN Trailer

I’ve always seen Robbie Williams as a bit of a tit. Don’t get me wrong, the guy is a great singer and an entertainer, but he knows it and it makes him a tit. There is a new biopic about his life and it’s, umm, interesting. Here is the trailer for Better Man.

It’s not exactly Bohemian Rhapsody or Rocket Man. Williams is portrayed as a monkey throughout the entire thing for some reason. Maybe in his private life he has a thing about climbing trees and eating bananas. Or should I say in his ‘primate life’. Thank you, thank you.

Better Man stars Williams, Damon Herriman, Alison Steadman, Steve Pemberton, Kate Mulvany, Anthony Hayes, Jonno Davies and Jonno Davies. Michael Gracey directs and writes alongside Oliver Cole and Simon Gleeson.

Gracey directed The Greatest Showman, which is a cracking movie. I don’t care what you lot think, I honestly love The Greatest Showman. Gracey has also directed music videos for the Sugababes, Natasha Bedingfield, and Pink.

The story is a biopic of Williams, who shot to fame in the band Take That. The official blurb from Paramount is:

Better Man is based on the true story of the meteoric rise, dramatic fall, and remarkable resurgence of British pop superstar Robbie Williams, one of the greatest entertainers of all time. Under the visionary direction of Michael Gracey (The Greatest Showman), the film is uniquely told from Robbie’s perspective, capturing his signature wit and indomitable spirit.

It follows Robbie’s journey from childhood, to being the youngest member of chart-topping boyband Take That, through to his unparalleled achievements as a record-breaking solo artist – all the while confronting the challenges that stratospheric fame and success can bring.

I have to say, even though I think Williams is a tit, I’m intrigued. The trailer does look like something a little different, even if it is just blowing smoke up Williams’s ass.

Better Man will be released on the 25th of December.
