Do you remember the big announcement for Rogue Squadron? Yet another mysteriously absent Lucasfilm Star Wars project.
Five years ago there was Wonder Woman director Patty Jenkins rollerblading down a runway, and a life-sized X-Wing.
Then… nothing.

Well, now it looks like Rogue Squadron has undergone a creative reboot and could be coming back on TV.
In March last year, Jenkins hinted she was back on the project, but with Star Wars: Starfighter and The Mandalorian and Grogu in the pipeline it seemed like nothing was happening.
Now, MyTimeToShineH is reporting that Lucasfilm is reworking it as a television series.
This aligns with something Kathleen Kennedy said when talking about reworking the Star Wars slate some time ago.
There is only a second season of Ahsoka: Season 2 in the current live action television pipeline, and a mystery project from Jack Ryan and Lost showrunner Carlton Cuse.
Rogue Squadron is expected to be a Top Gun-style story set among the pilots of the Rebel Alliance.
Personally, I just want somebody to explain to me what that spinning cockpit on the B-Wing was all about as it has occupied a weird place in my brain since I had the toy as a seven-year-old.
