Yay, the weekend! In the UK, we’re having a heat wave; anything over 20 degrees (68 to you Americans) is a heat wave, and British people can’t stand it. We all put away our umbrellas and talk to each other about how hot it is. No, we don’t have any air conditioning units; the heat wave will only last a few days.
With all the heat out there, you should stay in this weekend. Close the curtains, so there’s no reflection on the TV screen and watch something. Here are some suggestions for your viewing pleasure this weekend.
- Sinners – Movie – Good, but not great, too many plot holes.
- Piglet – Movie – Taken from the Poohniverse, sort of, it was really bad.
- Ford vs Ferrari – Movie – Still a really good movie, with lots of vroom vrooms.
- Cannibal Muckbang – Movie – An underrated indie movie, a better story than you’d imagine.
- Demon Knight – Movie – Wrenage’s suggestion and it’s better than Sinners.
- Until Dawn – Movie – New horror, bog standard.
- Bill Durham – Movie – Very good.
- Incredible Hulk – Movie – Still better than the new Marvel movies.
- Gonijam: Haunted Asylum – Movie – Found footage horror. Heard it was good, it was average at best.
- Blue Mountain State: Rise of Thadland – Movie – Good, but not great.
- The Cutting Edge – Movie – A rom-com figure skating sports movie. Don’t ask.
- Possession – Movie – A very odd horror with Sam Neill.
That should be enough for this weekend. As always, there’s something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue…no, wait, that’s for a wedding.
