This whole Stranger Things kerfuffle has somewhat passed me by. I watched the first season. I enjoyed it, but for some reason never went back, and then it felt like the bandwagon had departed and left me behind.
I am happy to be in the minority, though, and that there is something out there that huge swathes of people seem to really dig.

With or without me, it all ends tonight, as Netflix’s smash hit closes out with a feature-length episode, and the streamer has now released the official trailer for this finale. Vecna is set to bring his dimension to Earth and destroy the world as we know it, so the heroes must put everything on the line to defeat him once and for all… one last time.
I haven’t missed all the online discussions. It is clear there is a lot riding on this finale and the last episode didn’t seem to go down too well with fans.
One thing is clear, it is going to be a massive TV event, and a theatrical one, too. A limited theatrical run is taking place, and sessions are reportedly already selling out. Co-creator Ross Duffer has revealed that approximately 1.1 million people have reportedly RSVP’d to watch the final episode in cinemas today.
The feature-length episode will be released on Netflix about the same time as cinema screenings begin.
Duffer and his brother will be attending several screenings across LA themselves.
Will it be Game Of Thrones, or Blackadder Goes Forth? In just a few hours, we will know the answer.
