Star Wars on the big screen is emerging from its self-imposed hiatus. Star Wars: Starfighter comes next year. First, there is the small matter of The Mandalorian & Grogu.
Originally planned as the fourth season of the Disney+ show, delays, strikes and scheduling conflicts meant it was reworked as a movie.
The question is, is it all too late? Have the cat ladies with their memes of a sassy Grogu drinking coffee all movies on now?

Disney must hope not, as they paid big money for a Super Bowl spot for their big summer release.
Jon Favreau is reliable, and has given us some of the best Star Wars since the Disney takeover. however, nobody can deny that The Mandalorian season 3 was a let down, as focus shifted to other characters while Grogu’s arc felt like orders from the marketing department.
We don’t know too much about the movie, except that a new version of the Razor Crest will appear, and that Sigourney Weaver will feature as a veteran Rebel pilot who is now a colonel and leader of the New Republic’s Rangers.
Jeremy Allen White (The Bear) is Rotta the Hutt, the son of the crime lord Jabba the Hutt, and Jonny Coyne is a warlord who controls some of the remnants of the Empire.
Here is the big game spot:
The Mandalorian & Grogu is in theaters on May 22nd.
