John Hannah is to return in The Mummy 4 at Universal. He will reunite with original co-stars Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz in the role of Jonathan Carnahan, the bumbling and sometimes cowardly, duplicitous brother of Evie, whom the rest of the team suffers. This is from a story in The Hollywood Reporter.
He appeared in all three previous The Mummy movies, and will reprise his role in the upcoming fourth film.

The British actor first came to international prominence in a scene-stealing role in Four Weddings and a Funeral. He won plaudits for Spartacus, and appeared in Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. before popping up to deliver some exposition in the opening scene of The Last Of Us.
Radio Silence’s Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett (Scream, Ready or Not) direct from a script by David Coggeshall. Filming begins later this year in London and Morocco ahead of opening in cinemas on May 19th 2028.
