Remember in high school, when Tori said this, then you heard Samantha said that? And everyone took sides? And then it ended up with a massive karate fight in the school diner? Or was that Cobra Kai? Anyway, It seems MobLand is like that, with the current situation. Another side to the story has started to emerge.
Obviously, as MobLand was one of our favorite shows of the past couple of years, and the character of Harry Da Souza was central to the show. So the news that Hardy seemed to be exiting over on-set behaviour and issues with fellow cast members was not going down well.
Now, the other side of the story has started to emerge.

Variety has confirmed Tom Hardy has not been fired, and talks are underway to resolve the situation. The original reports stated that Hardy was late on set, staying in his trailer and passing unrequested notes about script improvements or other suggestions. This has caused tensions with other cast members, the writers, and the producers.
A source tells the trade outlet that Guy Ritchie is pushing for a resolution, as he likes working with Hardy.
The same report says that the issues on set were very real, and have not been made up or exaggerated, but that showrunner Jez Butterworth, producer David Glasser, and Hardy are working to try and resolve their differences.
The alternative side of the story is that Butterworth delivered some scripts as late as one week before shooting. Hardy is a bit “method” and likes time to prepare, so this ran counter to his process. Then, when script issues arose, Butterworth was not present or available on set to help resolve them.
The report says that highly successful producer, writer, and showrunner Butterworth may be being pulled in many directions, as he is working on The Agency and Sam Mendes’ Beatles biopic. When Guy Ritchie was directing episodes, as he’s one of the main creative forces behind the show, Ritchie had the authority to change scripts and improvise as they shot.
Other directors don’t have the same latitude.
So is this basically a logistics problem colliding with egos?
