You know what we don’t see enough of? Hotels run by Satan. That’s what Zazie Beetz had to deal with in They Will Kill You. There is a trailer, and be warned, it’s NSFW.
Several movies have done the ‘over the top’ blood, guts and gore, but They Will Kill You looks like fun. It’s certainly not pulling any punches, especially to kids in the face.
The movie stars Beetz, Patricia Arquette, Tom Felton, Heather Graham, Myha’la, Darron Meyer, and Amando Rivera. Kirill Sokolov directs, with him and Alex Letvak writing the script. Andy ‘IT’ Muschiette and his wife are producing the movie.
The story is:
A woman takes a job as a housekeeper in a NYC high-rise, unaware of the building’s history of disappearances. She soon realizes the community is shrouded in mystery.
It’s not much of a mystery; they are all Satan worshipers. It’s good to see Felton getting more work of late. Producers have typecast him for a long time as “the bad kid from Harry Potter“, but he’s more than that. He was in Fackham Hall and very funny in it.
They Will Kill You is being described as a mix of Ready or Not and The Raid. Both are great movies, and the action does look good. It seems to have a very dark sense of humour running through it as well.
They Will Kill You will be out in theatres on the 27th of March.
